The Autauga Education Foundation (AEF)
is a non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing ongoing financial support that may not otherwise be available for the Autauga County District School System.
Our allocation process makes funds available to all schools and departments within the school system. Allocation is done in the form of grants applied for by teachers, principals, administrative, and other support staff to enable new programs in the classroom or in extracurricular activities.
AEF connects with the school system to identify the essential needs at all of our schools, then brings community leaders, philanthropic organizations, citizens and local businesses together for a united fundraising effort. All funds raised stays in our community to directly support our county school system.

HOW DO I SUPPORT MY SCHOOL?
Parents and Alumni are encouraged to support their schools by making contributions through AEF’s Membership Society or Endowment Fund.
The funds raised by AEF come from people just like you who are concerned about the success of our county’s schools.

WORKPLACE GIVING AND PAYROLL DEDUCTION
Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Some provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours.

Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Contact your supervisor for more information.
Through AEF’s Payroll Deduction Campaign, teachers and staff of the Autauga County District School System can give as little as $1 per pay period to help provide additional funding for classroom and department grants. This campaign is a partnership between school staff and AEF to foster greater student success.
MEMORIAL AND HONORARIUM GIFTS
Was a friend or loved one touched by AEF in some way? Did they play an instrumental role on our school system or leaving a lasting legacy? Making a tax-deductible memorial/honorarium gift is a wonderful way to celebrate the accomplishments and life of a loved one while supporting our mission.

Donating stocks, bonds, or mutual fund investments that have appreciated value is one of the best ways for a donor to give more. • CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES
A great way to ensure steady income throughout your retirement years, charitable gift annuities are contracts that transfer cash, stock or other assets to AEF upon your passing, giving you a steady and predictable income for the rest of your lifetime. Plus, both you and your spouse or other member of your family can also receive payments for life. If the gift is a appreciated stock, you typically eliminate capital gains taxes on a portion of it while spreading the rest over your life expectancy.
• CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUSTS
Charitable remainder trusts allow you or someone you name to receive income for up to 20 years from the time the trust is created. After 20 years or upon the designee’s passing, the balance in the trust goes to AEF. These provide a partial charitable income tax deduction, the potential for increased income, avoidance of upfront capital gains taxes, and can be professional managed.
